Aalborg

Fly to the capital of north Jutland, and experience a city that never sleeps. With more than 300 restaurants, pubs and night clubs, there is always a place to go for nighthawks and party people.

Aalborg is North Jutland’s capital. A city both offering a rich variety of cultural events, as well as the beautiful surroundings of wild nature. The night life is always busy and there are more than 300 restaurants, bars and discos to choose from.

A couple of flight tickets to Aalborg and you will experience a city buzzing with activity, summer and winter. Aalborg-folk love to have a good time and you can see both new and old shows and arrangements all year.

One of these arrangements is the famous carnival, held every year. One of North Europe’s biggest carnival events, Aalborg’s streets are filled with samba rhythms and dancers in traditional Brazilian style and colourful costumes. Definitely worth seeing.

In Aalborg down-town is one of Scandinavia’s biggest congress and culture centres. Offering over 100 major theatre and music events annually you will find entertainment for any taste. Aalborg Congress and Culture Centre have an area of 7000 square metres with facilities to hold congresses and expositions for up to 2500 participants.

At the highest point in the city is the Aalborg Tower situated. Here you can see the city and its landscape from 105 metres above sea level. There is a beautiful view of the fjord, and maybe you will get a glimpse of the sightseeing boats crossing the waters all summer.

In Aalborg Zoo they have 150 species of animals from around the world. Stop by at feeding time for extra entertainment. If the family feel like having some fun, go to Tivoli land; in the boomerang and the roller coaster everything is turned up-side-down, and the small carrousels will bring out the smiles of young as old.

At The Marine Museum you can board an original submarine and work that periscope!
