One of the most popular is the famous carnival, held every year which is definitely one of north Europe’s biggest carnival events. Aalborg’s streets are filled with samba rhythms and dancers in traditional Brazilian style and colourful costumes. Definitely worth seeing.
One of Scandinavia’s biggest congress and culture centres is located in down-town Aalborg. Offering over 100 major theatre and music events annually you will find entertainment for every taste. Aalborg Congress and Culture Centre covers an area of 7000 square metres with facilities to hold congresses and exhibitions for up to 2500 participants.
The Aalborg Tower is situated at the highest point in the city. Here you can see the city and its landscape from 105 metres above sea level. There is a beautiful view of the fjord, and maybe you will get a glimpse of the sightseeing boats crossing the waters during summer.
In Aalborg Zoo there are 150 species of animals from around the world. Stop by at feeding time for even more entertainment! If the family feel like having some fun, go to Tivoli. In the Boomerang and the Roller Coaster everything is turned up-side-down, and the small carousels will bring out the smiles of young as old.
In the Marine Museum you can board an original submarine and work that periscope!
